What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the most well known phytocannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The potential of CBD to support a positive mood, balance, and wellness is its claim to fame.

What are the effects of CBD?

CBD is a phytocannabinoid that has been demonstrated to aid the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in preserving the body’s natural endocannabinoid supply. Supplementing our endocannabinoid supply with phytocannabinoids has been shown to improve the body’s ability to thrive in a variety of ways.

What is hemp?

Hemp is a nutrient-dense plant that is utilized as food, fiber, vitamins, and medicine all over the world. Terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, chlorophyll, and amino acids are found in hemp stalks and seeds, whereas phytocannabinoids such as CBD are found in hemp flowers.

What’s the difference between hemp & marijuana?

  • The level of THC in these two species is the key distinction. (The psychoactive component that gives you a “high” feeling.) Consider Hemp to be the relative of Marijuana.
  • But sober because hemp has a THC content of less than 0.3 percent.

What are cannabinoids?

By mediating the communication between our bodies’ cells, cannabinoids promote balance and general wellness. Endocannabinoids, which our bodies produce naturally, and phytocannabinoids, which are derived from cannabis and hemp, are the two forms of cannabinoids.

What are phytocannabinoids?

Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids derived from hemp (and other cannabis species) and present in the flowers of hemp plants. Hemp, for example, has over 100 different phytocannabinoids, including CBD. These phytocannabinoids act in concert with the body’s endocannabinoid system and other natural systems in the body to assist and regulate a wide range of functions, including appetite, sleep, mood, and immunity. Overall they promote homeostasis, the body’s natural state of balance. The endocannabinoid receptors found throughout the brain and body work with phytocannabinoids present in plants.

What are Endocannabinoid?

To maintain homeostasis, the human body creates endocannabinoids, which attach to endocannabinoid receptors. Endocannabinoids and their receptors can be found in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells, among other places. Endocannabinoids, also known as “body-mind bridges,” nourish and safeguard our immune system, neurological system, and almost all organs in the body.

What is the Endocannabinoid System ?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is thought to be the body’s main regulating system. It keeps our bodies in a state of homeostasis (aka
balance) by connecting with other biological systems and assisting other bodily systems in staying healthy.

What does the ECS support?

In one word.

Balance.

The ECS is engaged to restore physiological function when life throws us curve balls and external or internal stressors impair it. Because of all the wide activities, the ECS governs, such as balance, appetite, sleep, emotion, memory, immunity, and more, ECS health is critical to our capacity to function.

What’s the right amount of CBD for me?

Everyone’s system is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works for everyone. Because efficacy varies by person, a bigger amount does not always imply a better outcome. We recommend starting modest and gradually increasing. Allow yourself time to listen to your body and assess how the plant’s active chemicals are influencing you in every way.
